It has a larger box and competely new graphics, but the crucial elements of gameplay remain the identical.This is a game of trading, wares, and negotiation.

The players take the roles of traders in Genoa in the 16th century.

They fulfill orders, deliver messages, and take ownership of buildings in the city.

Of course, this is not feasible without the aid of the other traders – thus, the require for clever negotiation.

Genoa – My Thoughts

I played this game when it was called Traders of Genoa. It is by Rudiger Dorn and is an excellent game IF you like negotiations. That means that the entire gaming group needs to like negotiations. If not, then this might be a long game for you.

With a full complement of 5 players, this game will take about 2 hours to play. And about 90 minutes with experienced players.

It is an excellent game and it is a PURE negotiation game. If you like that, and you have some great friends who are willing to haggle and make deals with you, then this is THE game to buy :)
